Conawapa Generating Station
Manitoba Hydro has proposed building the Conawapa Generating Station. It would be located on the Lower Nelson River, 28 kilometres downstream of the Limestone Generating Station and 90 kilometres downstream of Gillam. Conawapa would be located 775 km northeast of Winnipeg.

- 1485 megawatts rated capacity
- Average annual energy production: 8,170 gigawatt hours
- Flooded land area: approximately 4.0 square kilometres
- Total reservoir area: approximately 37 square kilometres
- Generator units (turbines): 10
- Construction period: approximately 10 years
- Conawapa would be the largest generating station ever built in the province
